About This Role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development & Strategic Initiatives, you will have the opportunity to identify new and upcoming bids, research requirements for the bid, coordinate meetings between stakeholders, draft, finalize, and deliver the RFP. You will be responsible for coordinating the RFP life cycle ensuring responses are researched, well written, accurate, compliant with all requirements, and all RFP activities are completed by the deadline.
Role Responsibilities
Full proposal management including developing project timelines, establishing priorities and assignments
Analyze and comprehend the requirements outlined in the RFP
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop concepts
Participate and/or facilitate strategy sessions including initial RFP review identifying risks and gaps.
Lead the development of viable responses or facilitate the decision not to participate in the bid.
Conduct research on the client or project to tailor responses appropriately
Gather data on competitors and industry trends to highlight the company’s strengths
Develop clear, concise, and compelling content for the RFP response
Ensure that the RFP response meets the specified formats and guidelines
Coordinate efforts of various team members involved in the response process
Review and edit content for clarity, coherence, and compliance with RFP requirements
Customize RFP responses to address the specific needs and concerns of each client
Highlight selling points and value props of the company
Maintain version control of RFP documents and track changes and updates
Create and maintain a database of responses to the most frequently requested requirements.
Collaborate with sales team to ensure that the RFP aligns with the overall sales strategy
Incorporate sales messaging and positioning into the proposal
Coordinate with the legal team to ensure the response complies with legal requirements
Keep a repository of RFP submissions
Maintain version control of the proposal draft
Create a compliance matrix when necessary
Maintain subscriptions to RFP sites
Ensure vendor registration is active for all top school districts
Communicate effectively with internal teams to clarify questions and responses
Manage RFP production and delivery
Coordinate post-mortem reviews to identify winning and losing factors
Write clear and concise proposals with a consistent tone
Participate in other projects as assigned
Desired Qualifications
3+ years of RFP writing experience
A track record of RFP awards/wins within the K12 market is a plus
Ability to communicate well with individuals, teams, and cross-departmentally
Experience working with G-Suite, Loopio, and other content management systems
Familiarity with the Salesforce CRM and its functionality
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills
Excellent work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-value, timely support, and exceptional service
Experience with or understanding the K-12 special education market is preferred
Results and goal-oriented
Primarily a self-starter, but you aren’t afraid to ask for direction
Ability to move quickly and adapt

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.
Base Salary of $85,000, this role is eligible for variable target bonus, with a total on-target earning potential of $92,500.
