Job Requisition ID #24WD74573Position OverviewAs a Site Reliability Engineer at Autodesk, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure and automation solutions. Your primary objective will be to minimize downtime, optimize system performance, and ensure a seamless customer experience. ResponsibilitiesSystem Reliability: Ensure the reliability and availability of our systems and services through proactive monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automation tools and scripts for deployment, configuration management, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.Scalability: Collaborate with the engineering and Observability team to design and implement scalable solutions that can handle growing workloads and traffic.Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage infrastructure as code practices, using tools like Terraform, Cloudformation, Serverless, or similar, to maintain infrastructure consistency and version control.Monitoring and Alerting: Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and address issues, as well as provide insights for continuous improvement.Security: Collaborate with security teams to ensure systems and services meet security and compliance standards, performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.Capacity Planning: Analyze system performance and usage trends to provide recommendations for capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, incident response procedures, and best practices.Minimum Qualifications4-year bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields8+ years of overall experience and 6+ years of relevant experience as a SiteReliability Engineer or in a similar roleStrong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, NodeJs)Proficiency in using infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Cloudformation, serverless)Extensive experience of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)Extensive experience with AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3 and APIGateway or Extensive development experience on any cloud platformsExtensive experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g.,Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, Otel)Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, AWS Fargate)Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a teamStrong communication skills and a commitment to documentationPreferred QualificationsRelevant certifications such as AWS Certified SRE/DevOps Engineer, GoogleProfessional SRE/DevOps Engineer, or others.Experience with microservices architecture and related technologies.Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).Working with Observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Otel#LI-DA1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
