This is truly an extraordinary time.NVIDIA is searching for an outstanding PhD student in the field of communications or computer science to join our diverse and interdisciplinary team as a summer intern to work at the intersection of the foundations of machine learning and wireless communication.What you’ll be doing:You will apply your experience and knowledge in areas of machine learning, computer vision, and real-time and offline renderinglight transport simulationResearch neural graphics primitives and their siblings (Gaussian splatting etc.) with a focus on their impactful applicationsPartner with internal groups to transfer technologies and innovate productsWhat we need to see:Expertise in theory and practice of machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, numerical algorithms including functional analysis, and Monte Carlo methodsA background in at least one of the computer gaming, computer vision, and machine learning industries and a passion for real-time algorithmsA record of implementating big software projectsStrong background in research with publicationsAbility to communicate effectively in a collaborative environmentProgramming proficiency in C++, CUDA, Python, and programming concurrent systems, including graphics and machine learning frameworksWays to stand out from the crowd:You are deeply familiar with neural graphics primitives (NeRFs, Gaussians, etc.)Expertise in one or more of the following: artificial neural networks, speech recognition and natural language processing, reinforcement learning, real-time light transport simulation, classical computer visionKnowledge about geometry processing and inverse methodsFoundations of wireless communication technologiesExperience in the computer game industryThis position offers you the opportunity to have real impact while working with some of the most creative and brilliant people in the world who are here at this dynamic, technology-focused company.If in addition, you have a genuine passion for technology, we want to hear from you.NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
