This is a remote-based position supporting and driving pre-sales activities in Mississippi, Alabama, or Louisiana. We are looking for a dynamic, curious, motivated, and self-starting Senior Solutions/Sales Engineer (SSE) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-sales technical engagements with our customers and prospects to represent the Calix Intelligent Access product portfolio and solutions. If “Networking” is your passion, you’ll love our culture to develop your talent and build a career with us.Responsibilities and Duties:Lead technical account strategyLead the pre-sales technical process and product positioningAssist sales teams with customer business requirementsRespond to customer RFP’s and other customer inquiriesDeliver presentations to customer technical staff and senior managementAssist customers and partners in configuring and testing products in labs and field trialsGuide customers through technical and operational issues within areas of expertiseAssist customers with network architectures aligned with business requirementsExplain technical concepts clearly and influence decisions for CalixTrain and update Calix partners on the latest products and software releasesResearch and stay up to date on industry standards and trendsQualifications: BSEE/BSCS degree is desiredStrong interpersonal and soft skillsExperience working in cross-functional teamsAbility to convey complex concepts at multiple levels within an organizationSolid understanding of SaaS cloud-based solutions and API integrationExperience in the service provider industry preferredExperience with Layer 1/2/3 network architecturesExperience with various Wi-Fi standards and managed Wi-Fi solutionsAbility to work remotely and travel frequently within territoryLocation: This is a remote-based position located in Mississippi, Alabama, or Louisiana.#LI-RemoteCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
