To enable this strategy, the ED&A team has worked with the business to identify critical business areas in which data and analytics can make a material difference in the execution of Workday’s strategic goals. Each of these goals is being organized as a data product with a dedicated multi-functional team to drive a diverse set of data management, governance, and data analytics to realize relevant, measurable business change. As part of this team and enabling this strategy, the Analytics Engineering Team will serve as brains behind the modern data stack and drives the experimentation, curation, and transformation of data to create data products and metrics in support of strategic business outcomes.About the RoleIf you want to be a part of building something big that will drive value throughout the entire global organization, then this is the opportunity for you. You will be working on top priority initiatives that span new and existing technologies - all to deliver outstanding results and experiences for our customers and employees.  Reporting to Director of Analytics Engineering, the Analytics Engineering Manager will manage team of passionate engineers, including setting development goals, providing guidance and mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.  You will partner with product owners and data leaders across the organization to optimize a global operating model with distributed teams across. You will play a key role in establishing devops best practices, accelerate delivery, oversee quality aspects of the data products, manage demand intake and support our stakeholders to create delightful experiences.About YouBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering or related.7+ years managing a technical team and/or experience with running data analytics and/or engineering teams in large organizations.Prior experience implementing large and complex data lake house, data warehouse, data mesh solutions using modern ETL/ELT frameworks, dimensional data modelling for facilitating ad hoc analysis, BI reporting, and ML use cases.Deep understanding of key metrics and analytics needs across Sales, Marketing, Customer Journey, and Finance portfolios.Ability to gain trust, influence and steer a wide range of partners while bringing together and working with a team of people with multifaceted backgrounds - business analysts, technical authorities, process owners - to build joint solutions.Build and lead a successful global devops team – Planning, Delivery, End to End Testing, Scheduling, Release, and Support.Solid understanding of data orchestration technologies, data ingestion and analytics tools such as Dbt, Airflow, Fivetran and Tableau.Experience with one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle etc and database technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, Mongo etc.Work with cross functional teams to enable data insights through Data lifecycle.Other Qualifications:Have a proven track record of building trusting multi-functional relationships with partners, comfortable navigating through ambiguity, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of data Ingestion technologies, processing, persistent storage to build data lake to service both batch and near real-time applications.Work with peers and self-service analytic partners to frame, structure and prioritize business data needs.Develop thoughtful and strategic offerings which to enable key business outcomes.Attract, recruit, inspire and retain the best talent.Facilitation, presentation skills and partner management with ability to collaborate with executive and senior leadership.Innovation mindset coupled with results-focused orientation - consistent focus on getting things done and showing interim progress along the way.Prior experience building and leading diverse global teams in matrix organization.Experience developing, delivering, and scaling measurable operational improvements and efficiencies through Agile methodologies.Experience and understanding of Salesforce, Workday, Adobe, Gainsight, Tableau and BI Tools is a plusOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
