Surrounded by extraordinary people, inspiring leaders, and world changing projects, you will do more and become more than you ever thought possible.Position Summary:Illumina is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Commercial Capability Manager with focus on Configure Price Quote (CPQ) as part of our Global Sales Operations Team that is responsible for evolving process, technology, and policy across our commercial processes (lead to order). The candidate must have an exceptional understanding of the business use of contract lifecycle management/agreements, process improvement, and agile implementation methodologies and practices.The Senior Staff Commercial Capabilities Managers is focused on long and short-term process vision harmonizing the needs of our Commercial/Sales business stakeholders and strategic program in partnership with our IT delivery team. The capability manager works closely with our Commercial Teams business partners and internal & external delivery partners to develop and execute on a roadmap of solutions needed to support key business key commercial processes. Day to day work involves collaborating with Regional Commercial/Sales Leaders, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project stakeholders and scrum team of developers, and business analysts.Responsibilities:Own the product vision for your capability area. Ensure that it aligns with the overall organization / function vision. Be an expert on the domain, evangelizing the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context, and understand where we are going.Be the champion and voice of other internal teams and customers. Build impactful, personal customer relationships. Bring the customer's voice into the creation process. Create and groom a backlog of well-formed user stories, manage, and communicate tradeoff decisions between scope (value in expected ROI) and schedule (higher operating expense in longer release cycles)Owns the user stories and acceptance criteria that represents the requirements provided by the business.Responsible for monitoring delivery to plan, communicating delivery scope, status, and questions back to business.  Serves as the team's primary, but not only, conduit to their business partner(s).Collaborate and communicate across functions. Capability Owners play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. Responsible for supporting testing of user stories, including initial review, demo, script writing and helping support user acceptance activitiesResponsible for coordinating end user readiness activities including communications and training to post launch adoption.Manages compliance and other related metrics and organizes and facilitates adoption activities to address underutilization / non-compliance concerns.Measure success. Make measures visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.Requirements:7+ years experience as a product ownership of Salesforce.com capabilities with experience in supporting CPQ technologies. (ie SteelBricks, Apttus).Business acumen with technical aptitude, understanding how process, policy and technology can drive efficiency and effectiveness.Problem solving and critical thinking skills, excellent communications skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas.Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Technical proficiency to successfully understand the capabilities of our technology stack to inform our capability roadmap and developmentStrong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills.Comfort in high-level business discussions with internal and external executives.Proven ability to deliver on commitments.Ability to lead and work autonomously.Experience with Agile methodologies.Education: Bachelor’s Degree RequiredThe estimated base salary range for the Senior Staff Global Commercial Capabilities Manager role based in the United States of America is: $126,800 - $190,200. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
