The job involves engaging and qualifying new and existing customers, positioning Illumina products in order to provide solutions to their projects and business needs, and partnering closely with other internal and field-based members of the sales team that are in pursuit of common sales goals. The Service Sales role is exciting and challenging as you have the opportunity to work with top academic institutions, research centers, and business organizations around the world utilizing your scientific knowledge and lab experience while selling products for the world leader in Genomics. The position is an internal sales position and requires minimal travel time (10%).Responsibilities:Manage customers’ relationships (10% workload)Manages customer relationships post-sale, including billable and professional service products selling and developing business relationships with key contacts.Demonstrates capability to present versatile and unique solutions during customer negotiations to establish mutually beneficial circumstances for the customer and Illumina. Perform Sales Process (60% workload)Works collaboratively with TAMs to meet and exceed sales quotas for a defined product line and/or sales territory.Works with Service Contract Sales to maximize the service business opportunities based on customer demands.Connects and visits the existing and prospective customers to identify sales opportunities.Generate opportunities and quotations in SFDC system.Prepare contract template for customers.Communicate with customers to follow up order input process until the order is finalized in SAP.Handle billable & professional service process.Collaborate with finance team to chase account receivable.Support Service Business Well (30% workload)Prepares the service contract summary reports for each service contract.Prepares the service relative dashboard and data reports to improve the service sales efficiency.Has the ability to learn, change, and gain from each experience to become more effective in subsequent sales scenarios.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Changes to individual responsibilities may occur due to business needs.Requirements:1+ years of experience in service business role of medical device or a related field.Experience with service products selling and customer relationship management to allow for a better understanding of the customer requirements in order to uncover sales potential.Self-motivated to continue learning beyond initial onboarding within the role.A demonstrated desire to be an effective and positive collaborator within a team selling environment and a willingness to provide and seek feedback from teammates. Approaches tasks with urgency.
