We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!The Opportunity Jr. Data Centre Engineer EMEA, Based in Slough.What You'll Do Responsibilities Include:Support full device lifecycle for enterprise equipment within the Adobe environments: Receive, Rack, Repair, Retire, and Recycle.Install and configure data centre infrastructure components.Run and terminate structured cabling of various types (copper, fibre, etc.)Maintain data centre documentation within various online databases.Document ongoing activities in ticketing systems.Provide analysis and reporting on data centre activities and trends.Develop standard methodologies in various areas, and document and train others as needed.Help maintain inventories of spare parts, supplies, tools, etc.Provide 24x7 on-call coverage on a rotating basis. Plan to be on-call ~1/2 of the time.Be available by phone 24x7x365 unless previously arranged with the manager.Travel out of the country periodically to help with data centre projects.What you need to succeed Degree in computer science or Equivalent experience within Data Centre Operations.Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining enterprise-class computing systems.Experience with SAN/WAN/LAN technologiesExperience terminating, testing, & certifying copper and fibre infrastructureOther Job Skills:Must be diligent & responsive. The team is small and every player is essential for the overall success of the team.Possess the ability to work both independently with little or no supervision or seamlessly as part of a team on large ongoing projects.Strong oral and written English communication & documentation skills are important.Always ready to learn.
