You will focus enabling the delivery of end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions safely and at high velocity.The successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. The DevOps Engineer is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application and processes.Your Day to DayDesign and maintain highly available and robust infrastructure services that increases productivityMaintain quality of code, up-to-date documentation, and a high degree of ownershipWork in a dynamic environment and respond to interrupts in a timely mannerProvide escalation support for infrastructure platforms running in productionProvide mentoring to others with the team and the larger Operations organizationMust be able to participate in 24x7 weekly rotation alert scheduleWhat You Bring to the TeamPreferably you’ll have DevOps experience working in a SaaS environmentCloud environment experience preferably working with AWSExperience working with a configuration management and automation system (Ansible Preferred)Experience in Linux systems administration and/or engineeringKnowledge of version control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce)Understanding of information security concepts and technologies such as IDS, VPN, Splunk, and FirewallsPrior experience with application containerization and container ecosystemsHands-on experience with mainline programming and scripting languages such as Bash, Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, .Net, or C++.Hands-on experience with building and managing release systems, code merging and promotion, and CI/CD workflows and tools.Experience working with and delivering in an Agile environmentUnderstanding of information security concepts and technologies such as IDS, VPN, Splunk, and FirewallsUnderstanding of microservices and distributed application architectureStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate core DevOps concepts (CI/CD, Agile & Automation)Why ProofpointProtecting people is at the heart of our award-winning cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.  We’re a customer-focused and driven-to-win organisation with leading-edge products.
