Your potential is waiting; why are you?Job Title:  Accounting ManagerDepartment & Team:  Finance, Royalties & Referral TeamReports to:  Senior Manager, Technical AccountingLocation:  Remote (Outside of California Bay Area)Background:Genesys is looking for an Accounting Manager to join the team.  The Manager must be a self-starter, a clear communicator, highly analytical and understand basic programming.  They are a player-coach who leads through example and is willing to roll-up sleeves to address problems and devise solutions.  The ideal candidate is highly analytical, extremely detail-oriented, accurate in the handling of large amounts of data and has experience with basic programming on programs such as Tableau Prep or Alteryx.Essential Job Functions:The primary responsibility for this role includes, but are not limited to:Prepare monthly accrual entries for various referral and partner programs and make payments to those partners or reconcile cash received from various partnersSupport timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close activities related to referrals and royaltiesSupport and maintain coding for referrals and royalties in a program like Tableau Prep or AlteryxResearch and answer referral or royalty questions from partnersResearch and prepare balance sheet and P&L variance analyses to explain movement and/or look for abnormalities that require investigationPrepare and review quarterly royalty reporting for partnersReview & manage royalty and referral teamAssist with external audit requestsAssist with Ad Hoc projects for referrals as neededDevelop and maintain business partnerships with Finance, Sales and Partner DevelopmentSupport the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting on projectsMinimum Requirements:4+ years of experience in a finance role with general ledger experienceAdvance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data management programs such as Tableau Prep or AlteryxExperience with large ERP systemsExperience with Salesforce.comWork flexible hours as necessaryAbility to work independently and be resourcefulSuperior problem solving, analytical and technical programming skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environmentComfortable partnering and engaging with cross-functional teamsExtreme attention to details; ability to think quickly; ability to multi-taskExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written) with willingness to appropriately debate difficult issuesWork Context:Communicates regularly with various teams and departments, including managementUses computer frequentlyWorks expanded hours/shifts to support Senior Manager, Technical Accounting#LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
