This is a permanent role within the Group’s International Controllership function with specific responsibilities for Swedish legal entities.  The global finance function continues to develop as the group integrates recently acquired companies.  Challenges ahead for the successful candidate include the implementation of the group financial operating processes to the acquired companies, while ensuring continued adherence to the group’s reporting timetable, maintenance of controls and a continued drive for increased quality and efficiency of reporting.The jobholder will be accountable for the effective and timely delivery of the monthly close activities and supporting the associated reporting for the relevant business groups, assisting with the production and submission of local statutory and compliance requirements, and meeting the quarterly reporting requirements for the Clarivate Group.The role requires strong relationship building with business finance, corporate functions, internal & external audit, and within the shared service centre community and is critical in ensuring that all revenue, costs, commitments, assets, and liabilities are accurately recorded on a timely basis. This role will provide support and control of the business units’ balance sheets and ensure that the financial statements reflect local and international standards as well as complying with the Sarbanes Oxley recommendations.The role reports to the Finance Director Europe and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  Qualified accountant (or by experience) with post qualification experience8-10 Years' Account/Financial Controlling experienceStrong financial and management accounting backgroundComprehensive knowledge of IFRS, Swedish GAAP and preparation of Swedish statutory accountsWorking knowledge of Swedish tax complianceExperience within a large global services organizationEnd to end accounting process understandingProven ability to form strong relationships with customers and stakeholdersFluent Swedish and English speakerComfortable with working autonomously and from homeProven ability to meet deadlinesClear and effective communicatorStrong customer focus work ethicProven problem solverSelf-motivatedEnthusiasticWhat will you be doing in this role? Manage the entire statutory audit process for the Swedish companiesManage the delivery of the monthly close activities for each company under remitBalance sheet and P&L monthly flux analysisProduction and review of key supporting schedules for balance sheet and P&LControllership of balance sheet accounts for all companies within remit, providing guidance on key issues and resolution to problem items in accordance with corporate SOX guidelinesCoordination with centralized process teamsSupport monthly tax compliance and filingsSupport the integration of acquired entitiesManage ad hoc projectsLeadership of two direct reports (Accountants).About the Team The Controlling team for Europe currently consists of circa 40 employees based throughout Europe and India.   Hours of Work  Full time, permanent role.
