Finance Manager, Engineering and Product

Manager, Engineering and Product Finance The  Manager, Engineering and Product Finance serves as the primary liaison between raw data and high-level executive decision making for the Engineering and Product team. Reporting to the VP FP&A, this individual will partner directly with the Engineering leadership team to plan and prioritize supporting the company’s Engineering and Product initiatives. Candidates will have outstanding partnership and communication skills, be able to handle multiple priorities, as well as the ability to deal with the ambiguity that comes in a fast-growing organization. Key responsibilities Serve as the primary finance business partner to Engineering and Product leadership team Drive AWS Cloud Infrastructure cost efficiencies across the company Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes and corporate reporting requirements  Drive the annual planning, monthly/quarterly forecasting processes, variance analysis, and preparation of key metrics Identify, recommend, and drive process improvement initiatives to enable efficiencies and scale across the organization Develop and/or enhance key metrics that bring insightful and actionable insights Perform ad hoc analyses as needed Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field 5+ years in varying FP&A roles, SaaS experience strongly preferred Prior R&D experience, especially with AWS strongly preferred Prior experience with Financial Reporting systems, Netsuite and Adaptive Prior business partnering experience, or demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional leaders strongly preferred Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively translate for non-finance audiences of varying levels Excellent modeling skills; highly proficient in excel High performance standards with high ethical values and passion for excellence Proven ability to operate and succeed within a fast-paced environment About Us Sumo Logic, Inc. empowers the people who power modern, digital business. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
