Business Development InternshipStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly)Department: Energy SolutionsLocation: Paris OfficePosition SummaryYou will be part of the European “Energy Solutions” business unit, in charge of developing Plug’s own hydrogen production plants in Europe. The business unit is composed of Energy Sourcing, Business Development, Operations and Strategy teams, all based in Paris, with offices in the 17th arrondissement. Inside the Energy Solutions business unit, you will be part of the Energy Sourcing & Business Development team in charge of the sourcing of energy and the optimization of the Hydrogen production plants requiring significant capital deployment. The role is reporting to the Energy Sourcing manager. Project Summary Support the business development of strategic projects to expand Plug H2 production in Europe and deliver the strategic initiatives/priorities in Europe: - Help build the business cases to initiate hydrogen production projects - Establish 1st assessment of time schedule and project costs - Adapt and run an in-house business model for decision making “go/no go” - Prepare C-level approval presentation - Work collaboratively and closely with the strategy, finance, legal, operations and engineering teams - Support the Business Development team by preparing and negotiating land lease, grid access, permitting, subsidies etc… - Support the Energy Sourcing team with data analysis and PPA contracting - Discuss with local partners - Educate the European team on regulations regarding hydrogen and energy markets that impact our business. Core Duties and Responsibilities(Duties should reflect what an Intern will learn, and be realistic to their level of experience and education)  Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of all Plug Power productsWork with senior level engineers and management to interpret and analyze dataAssist in developing engineering processes with guidance from senior level engineers and managementMechanical aptitude and ability to sufficiently make minor repairs as necessaryAbility to independently set up experiments and monitor progressUnderstand engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day to day projectsAbility to critically analyze data in terms of system performance and reliabilityRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and QualificationHigh-potential individuals willing to work in a challenging international environment, with - Strong analytical skills and ability to build business models - Strong interpersonal skills, team player - Ability to interact effectively and professionally within a multi-cultural environment - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to think strategically, plan and operate with both the short and long term in mind - Fluent in English with minimum one European language (German, French or Spanish) - Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI). - Looking for someone in their 4th year or Masters/PhD program
