This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Services Sales team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. You’ll learn Calix products and solutions, work across functions and interact with customers, prospects, and sales team members. The Service Sales Intern position is an exciting opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business and collaborate with a great team of people. This internship will focus on supporting the Calix Services team by participating in our sales, marketing, business processes/procedures, forecasting, reporting and analysis.Our Services' Team mission is to “deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and team members by innovating our service offerings to help them simplify, excite, and grow their business' and you'll get to play a role in bringing that mission to 'life'.Responsibilities:Understand the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customers, product goals, and all other aspects of service.Collaborate with cross functional teams of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.Accept designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.Involved with Services Sales to understand customers goals and objectives and provide post-sales support to service sales team.Provide suggestions to leadership for improving customer service and internal processes.Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.Assists in creating performance/forecasting/analysis reports.Assist in marketing efforts, business analytics, and business 360 consults to improve business processes, efficiencies, and operations.Qualifications and Skills: Verbal and written communication and presentation skillsOrganizational and time management skillsPrevious experience with database management for reporting, forecasting, and analysisArticulate and detail-orientedPrevious working experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferredWorking knowledge of Power BIProficient in Microsoft OfficeCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education (i.e. year in school).There are different ranges applied to specific locations.
