As a Hardware System Design Manager you will be leading a team of HW & FW engineers in a diverse role which encompasses Accessory Products Technology, Retail & Event Product Design Electrical Engineering and Design Validation Leadership.
The team focuses on:
New silicon definition, bring-up and validation.
New product architecture.
Key technology areas (e.g. Silicon, power conversion, USB-C, BLE, SI/PI…etc.).
System design validation oversight.
REPD fixture design and event support.
Early product scoping efforts.
Future technology evaluation.
The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills. You will have the opportunity to lead other engineers with the best-in-class methodologies as well as regularly interact with executives, cross-functional teams and external partners.
Will you help us develop innovative products from concept through architecture, design & high volume manufacturing? Key Qualifications Key Qualifications BSEE with 7+ year’s experience. Engineering management experience required. Candidate must have direct experience with consumer products - product concept development, system architecture and detailed design. Candidate must possess deep knowledge of analog and digital electrical circuits including silicon. Must have experience with digital hardware design such as micro-controllers and digital interfaces (such as I2C, SPI, SPMI, MIPI, etc). Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to guide critical decisions Experience in EE schematics entry and layout is needed. Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support is required. Ability to work well cross-functionally. Proven track record of working in fast paced innovative work environment. Occasional overseas travel as needed. Description Description Manage and hire a team of engineers.
Review, challenge, and creatively influence product concepts & roadmaps across groups.
Work with cross-functional engineering managers and engineers.
Develop internal and external system & silicon specifications.
Keep current with innovative technology trends and vendor roadmaps.
Review, influence, and challenge system performance decisions with new ideas.
Define, simulate, and model product performance vs. power and other metrics.
Lead validation across all functions holistically for each product (EE, RF, EMC, Coex, desense, silicon…etc.).
Mentor and lead engineers and interns. Education & Experience Education & Experience BSEE. Graduate degree preferred. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $316,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
