We are looking for a Principal Solution Engineer to join the F5 Business Development team, who can innovate and build joint solutions using F5's and our ecosystem partners' technologies that will be used by the world’s largest organizations!Collaborating with Business Development Managers (BDM), this role will own the technical solutions development with many of our strategic technology partners.You will assist in the recruitment, development, and documentation of new solutions within the partnership through product demonstrations, technical presentations, training, and support.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain an effective relationship with BDMs and our partner’s solution engineers to qualify partnership opportunities, support sales enablement objectives, conduct product demonstrations, and technical presentations.Collaborate directly with technology partner on solution development and assist them with their lab installation and configuration of F5 products. This includes installation, customization, or upgrades of both hardware and software.Produce sales pull through partnerships by effectively positioning F5 solutions and their benefits to the partners and by supporting partnerships at events and shows.Responsible for upholding F5’s business code of ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the code or other company policies.Other ResponsibilitiesWork with BDM and partner to develop and review joint solution documentation.Work on tasks as part of an overall solutions development project.Understand and practice the company's cultures and behaviors (We are Owners, We obsess over customer needs, We make F5 more agile, We create a more diverse and inclusive F5, We help each other thrive).This position requires travel between 15-20% to partner sites, customer sites, other F5 offices, and to tradeshow/conference events.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience in Cloud architectures in: AWS, Azure, GCP or other public clouds, and multi-cloud designCI/CD experience (automate build and test pipelines with GitOps, Jenkins, etc.)Experience with cloud instrumentation and configuration management tools for deployment such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.Experience in software development in Go, Python, Ruby, scripting, languages Knowledge of F5 solutions such as BIG-IP, NGINX, or Distributed Cloud is helpful.Ability to analyze, tackle, and solve technical problems.Deep understanding of technology drivers in the current market, like Cloud, microservices, DevOps, and evolving cyber threats with focus on L7 security.Great interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to articulate complex technology simply.Proven writing skills, with an emphasis on deployment guides, how-to-guides, technical enablement materials, and blogs.Insatiable, geek-like drive to learn new technologies.QualificationsBS/BA or equivalent work experience.Relevant cloud, networking or security certifications are helpful.Proven track record of learning new technologies, developing domain expertise on new products and solutions, and demonstrating a hands-on approach to installing, using, and maintaining new offerings.Proven track record of trust and ability to adapt to a changing environment.7+ years experience supporting technical sales and/or partners-led sales of enterprise IT platform and cyber-security solutions to corporate accounts.4+ years of developing technical solutions in a collaborative environment.4+ years of participating in the production of technical documents.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
