Senior Visual Designer (Contract)

About the role: Skydio is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to help bring the future of our software and hardware products to life in presentations that will be shared internally and with customers throughout 2024. An ideal candidate has experience previously as a Concept Artist, Concept Designer, Senior UI Designer, Sr. Art Director, Visual Designer or Presentation Designer - producing high quality visuals and presentations for software and hardware products.  This is a 3-month contract position requiring approximately 20 hours each week. What makes you a good fit: You have a portfolio of presentations, storyboards, pitch decks or mockups with high quality visual design. Conceptual ability - the ability to take written words and turn them into high quality mockups and art. Firm understanding creating presentations and visuals about people using software to do great things. You use novel visual design to weave UI elements, hardware, and customers into easy to follow, inspiring user stories. Ability to think narratively, creating sequences that illuminate user stories through the lens of UI mixed with other visuals (photography, video, motion graphics). High level of craft, technical execution, and attention to detail. Ability to drive a project from concept to execution while taking direction from the Design Director. A simple, clean design aesthetic, excellent typographic skills, articulate presentation layouts. Experience art directing photography, video and illustration. Comfortable working iteratively (sketch, wireframe, visual design, final), and on fast deadlines (timelines are measured week-to-week.)
