About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced VP of People to drive our company’s team building, success, and mission. Reporting directly to the CEO, this person will design and lead out People Strategy across Talent, People Operations, and Human Resources surface areas. This is a perfect opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in high-velocity environments, demonstrates deep operational rigor, can tap into deep prior experience, and is passionate about driving much-needed chance to our mental health system.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead, manage, and mentor the People team across key functions (Talent, Ops, HRBP)
In collaboration with executive leadership, define the People organization’s roadmap to advance the company’s long-term mission & goals
Define performance indicators for the organization, applying a data-driven approach to assess competitiveness and health, and surface insights and recommendations
Develop and establish HR policies, procedures, and strategies related to recruitment, training, benefits, compensation, and performance management
Advance our People technical infrastructure to improve teammate experience and scalability
Oversee assessment and evaluation processes such as candidate interviews, performance reviews, and promotion considerations
Maintain a work environment that prioritizes kindness and humility while balancing productivity and wellbeing
You’ll Be a Good Fit If:
8+ years of work experience in progressively responsible roles in high-performing ops organizations, including 5+ within the People department
Experience in high-growth environments, with a knack for navigating ambiguity with high autonomy
Hands-on leader, skilled at empowering teammates, but willing to jump into the weeds and get your hands dirty when the situation requires
Data-first orientation, who adept at thoughtfully weighing a variety of insights and reference points to inform hypotheses and action plans
Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills
Background in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance, with knowledge of key technological systems (HRIS, Payroll, and Talent Management)
The Salary range for this role is $250-300k base.
