The Intern will be responsible for assisting the (Project Management department) in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department’s projects. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced projects, manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.Project Summary Understand the Role and Responsibilities of Project Management Discipline:Develop a clear understanding of the role played by the Project Management discipline and the associated responsibilities.Gain comprehensive knowledge of the complete project management process, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, along with an understanding of the project life cycle.Familiarize with Project Schedule Preparation /Project Planning. Acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for preparing project schedules and developing robust project plans.Understand Stakeholder Management and emphasize the importance of building and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders.Get overview on Procurement Management / Quality aspects for Project, Cost and Financials overviewActively seek opportunities for professional development, such as attending training sessions or workshops.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of all Plug Power productsAssist Project engineers / Managers on their ongoing projects or initiatives.Assist in preparation of processes, templates, tools, applications related to Project management with guidance from senior level engineers or managers.Assist in creating and maintaining project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and progress reports.Learn how to organize and manage project-related documents efficientlyAbility to independently set up experiments and monitor progressUnderstand Projects / engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day to day projectsWork closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals.Communicate effectively and participate in team meetings to understand project goals and objectives.Contribute to ensuring that engineering deliverables meet quality standards and comply with project requirements.Learn about safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the context of project execution.Ability to critically analyze data in terms of system performance and reliabilityRepresent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactionsPerform all other duties as assignedEducation and QualificationPursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or a related programPrior Internship or Co-op experience preferredMust have reliable transportation to the officeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBackground/experience with statistical analysisPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solvingComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailExcellent follow-through Must be driven and self-motivatedMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$20.07 - $26.90Plug Power Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
