You will be exposed to a variety of work across complex data architecture projects and with diverse nonprofits gaining valuable experience in managing partnerships and positioning sustainability as a competitive differentiator.  The successful candidate will work with local and global virtual teams to deliver sustainable impact projects and volunteering events while regularly reporting on progress against goals.  For HP Canada, the successful candidate will work on on volunteering initiatives and grant applications supporting non-profit partners and events in Canada.TasksHP Commercial Organization SI Global ProgramFor the global program, we are looking for the intern to work with the GAIA Program Manager Sarah O'Connell to assist in building HP's capabiities to transparently provide product-level sustainability data attributes such as carbon data, energy use/cost, recycled plastic content % and Ecolabels to our customers, partners and sales teams through HP systems, tools and processes.HP Canada Sustainable Impact TeamDraft grant funding applications for nonprofit partners in line with the 40 Days of Doing Good program (1 May 1- 15 June) Hold in-person and virtual volunteering events that engage as many HP Canada teams as possible. Ensure tracking of volunteer hours with a focus on skills-based volunteering. Support the Nonprofit Partner Business Managers in their role as liaison with various nonprofit partners through event management, volunteer recruitment, donation drives, and contract negotiations and renewals. Participate in sustainable impact meetings with internal and external stakeholders to learn about and promote corporate volunteering and sustainable procurement best practices. Execute ad hoc tasks.Desired skills and competenciesInterest and experience in systems architecture for ESG and/or sustainability product data. Independent decision maker. Project management and coordination skills. Event management experience. History of community service. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong writing skills.
