This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Education Services team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. The role of the Education Services Intern will be to support our Customer Success team by updating and analyzing education customer data, assisting with educational content lifecycle management from creation to evaluation and iteration, analyzing learner behavior across platforms, assisting with our Learning Management System, and other projects as needed.The Education Services Intern must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ideally is enrolled in a Communications, Library Science, Instructional Systems Design, Adult Education, Learning Technologies or related degree program with strong writing skills. This position will report to the RVP, Customer Engagement and Services.Responsibilities and Duties:Analyze touchpoints across our programs and platforms to find patterns for our key customer segments regarding their educational content needs.Content Lifecycle Management: Help create and update Calix Customer Education content for specific personas, including the potential to build mobile microlearning modules, and work with content owners to sunset old material.Work with a variety of internal departments to update key educational content and extend the reach of current materials into the Calix Community and beyond.Assist with administration and optimization of our learning management system.Additional projects as needed.Qualifications:Working towards Communications/Library Science/Instructional Systems Design/Adult. Education/Learning Technologies or related degree.Excel and data entry experience. Salesforce.com or CRM experience preferred.Articulate 360 or comparable development software experience preferred.LMS experience is a plus, including as an end-user or TA.Google Analytics, Snowflake, and other data mining, analysis, and reporting skills highly desired.Team player.Experience in a role or project requiring analytical problem solving and analysis.Strong communication skills within all levels of an organization.Detail oriented Able to work effectively with a high tolerance for ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.Microsoft Office software suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).Preference will be given to applicants who are currently in their Junior or Senior year of college.Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education (i.e. year in school).There are different ranges applied to specific locations. The average hourly rate in the U.S. for the position is listed below.Regional plus NY:$16.00 – $21.00 USDNational Major Cities plus, CA, CO, NY Metro area:$17.50 - $23.50 USDSan Francisco Bay Area Only:$20.00 - $26.00 USD
