IT Oracle ERP Finance Intern

This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning. We are looking for students to work remotely and join us full-time in the Summer months. It is strongly suggested that you have a home work environment that enables you to concentrate and be productive. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.In this role, you will work a collaborative team environment to enhance and expand the capabilities of the in-house test automation framework. The results of your work will be used across the cloud organization for improved productivity and test coverage.Responsibilities and Duties:Partner with Cloud SMEs to write, and conduct unit and integration testing for functionality.Create the required accompanying technical documentation.Add features to existing frameworks.Participate in technical discussions within the engineering group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team.  Support test strategy and automation in both end-to-end solution and functional testing.​Qualifications: Familiar with Java and Python.Familiar with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.Basic understanding of Finance Foundation and Processes.Basic understanding of ERP (like Oracle, SAP etc.)Understanding of unit testing principals.Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming.Detail oriented.Strong communication skills with executive presence in a virtual setting.Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September).Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education (i.e. year in school).There are different ranges applied to specific locations.
