Graphics Experience Center - Commercial Printing Solution ArchitectDescription -Drive the General Commercial Print Area for the HP Indigo Digital Press Business within the world’s largest Graphics Experience Center (GEC).  This person will specialize on multiple commercial presses, but will take the lead on the HP Indigo 7K. The HP Americas GEC consists of 65,000 square feet of pure printing cutting edge technology.  The GEC is part of the sales organization within HP with the responsibility of helping customers and future customers understand better how HP’s technology can help their businesses thrive.  The Solution Architect is truly a Trusted Advisor.  It is the SA’s role to help demonstrate how HP Indigo Digital Presses can accomplish the customer’s business objectives.The main day to day responsibilities include:Product Demonstrations –  Both Face to Face as well as Virtual (using the latest in remote video conferencing tools).  No two demos are alike.  Every demo is customized to the specific needs of the specific customer.  Some demonstrations are one to one, while others may be one to many; covering dozens, and sometimes hundreds of people.Gather and assess customer needs, both business and technical.Identify related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion).Identify site-specific and corporate parameters and constraints that impact the solution.Identify required project steps.Identify likely problem areas that require attention.Identify probable competition and product roll-out data/training needs and evaluates relative HP strengths.Sample Production and Validation – Understand the customer needs and validate that their specific jobs will run correctly on HP Indigo Digital Presses.  The sample creation cover Pre-Press, Pre-flight, Production, and Finishing, resulting in a sample product that can be shared with the customer to validate their investment.Identify customer objectives for each of the product pieces requestedManage the process end to end to ensure that the sales rep is engaged throughout the process, and ensure customer satisfactionDrive HP’s technology to the max in order to get the job doneSales Rep and Client/customer relationship:Maintains excellent communications with Sales Team and Customers across the Americas Region.Represents HP as technical expert with customers; shares knowledge in area of expertise and links to related technology areas.Advances opportunities through the use of effective consultative selling techniques.Builds customer loyalty through being a trusted advisor.Partners effectively with others in the account to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.Communicates and articulates the details of their component roles in a proposed customer solution.Team collaboration:Actively supports the account team with solution advice, proposals, presentations, and other customer communications.Analyzes and provides support to deals in the pipeline where needed.Understands the roles and affectively engages other teams and resources within HP and partners.Education and Experience Required: Technical University or Bachelor's degree is a mustTypically 10-15 years of experience – Print production, hands-on operations management, within the printing industry and/or Print Service Provider (additional experience is a plus)Strong knowledge and experience operating HP Indigo Digital PressStrong knowledge and experience managing conventional Offset PressesPeople management experience is a plusStrong communication skills both verbal and writtenExperience on competitive printing equipment is a plusJob -SalesSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (United States of America)Travel -25%Relocation -YesEEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
