About The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Manager will assist with bookkeeping, reporting, financial operations, and related matters.  MeetElise is establishing its in-house Finance department with the goal of building a world-class team that powers the company’s growth by supporting other business functions and providing visibility into business performance.  As one of the first hires of the department, the Accounting Manager will play a critical role in designing systems and executing on a daily basis to achieve that goal.  The position will be based at our headquarters in New York City. Key Responsibilities Support the Financial Controller in ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported. Manage account receivables process, including collections and applications. Build excellent processes to ensure timely collections Manage account payables process, including approvals and applications Perform daily bank reconciliations Monitor the company’s corporate credit card program and perform reconciliations Month-end close: P&L and Balance Sheet analysis and reporting Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; major in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification; preferred not required 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting; public accounting experience preferred; high-growth enterprise SaaS experience preferred Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including US GAAP and accounting topics relevant to enterprise SaaS companies Experience with external auditors Detailed experience with QuickBooks Online and the ability to adapt to new accounting software Experience with Salesforce and other enterprise systems preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and Google Suite Entrepreneurial and proactive.  Looking for creative ways to make the team better and improve processes.  Looking to take on responsibility Direct and clear communicator, both written and verbal.  Not afraid to speak up Ability to work for a small team in a fast-paced environment - flexible, adaptable, willing to get hands dirty, collaborative Why Join Growth and impact. Job Compensation Range: The salary range for this role is $110,000-$125,000. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
