Service Quality Engineer Intern

Summer InternshipStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly)Department: 138 Global OperationsLocation: Latham, NYPosition SummaryPlug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated Intern. The Intern will be responsible for assisting the Global Operations Department in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of the department’s goals. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power’s products. The role will focus on the successful completion of technical projects, process improvement, documentation, and presentation of results at the end of the program.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a detailed understanding of all Plug Power productsWork with senior level engineers and management to interpret and analyze dataAssist in developing engineering processes with guidance from senior level engineers and managementMechanical aptitude and ability to sufficiently make minor repairs as necessaryAbility to independently set up experiments and monitor progressUnderstand engineering concepts and how to appropriately apply them in day-to-day projects.Ability to critically analyze data in terms of system performance and reliabilityAlways represent Plug Power in a professional manner and in all interactions.Perform all other duties as assignedEducation and QualificationPursuing a Bachelor of Science or master’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or a related programPrior Internship or Co-op experience preferredMust have reliable transportation to the officeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBackground/experience with statistical analysisPossess solid hands-on approach to problem-solvingComputer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to manage complex projects and multi-task effectivelyDemonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detailMust possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work qualityPay Rate:$20.07 - $26.90Plug Power Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
