Join us in revolutionizing the world of AI!We are now looking for an Engineering Lab Lead Technician in the Datacenter Systems & Board Design Team to support testing and debug of NVIDIA's datacenter products. This newest member will collaborate with an innovative multidisciplinary world-class team of engineers to help build and develop our industry leading GPU accelerated computing products. This role will maintain and debug lab systems involving sophisticated system level hardware and software. In this role you will gain a deep understanding of datacenter products as we take on the challenge to solve complex technical issues, so there will be plenty of opportunity for learning new skills related to datacenter products and infrastructure. The primary responsibility is to support our engineering teams during development to ensure outstanding quality GPU server products may be released to the market and delight our customers so that AI scientists and datacenter operators can achieve their professional aspirations using NVIDIA technology. The new lab lead will work independently to complete daily tasks according to priorities, demonstrate a passion towards system level product quality, and should be comfortable in the lab environment.What you'll be doing:Assemble, build, and install bench top development platforms and large server systems. Supervise the usage of the bench platforms.Maintain the rack lab inventory. Run network cables between cabinets. Rack and Stack systems using a server lift following safety procedures.Prepare boards for detailed solder reworks to be completed by another lab. Communicate rework instructions.Run system tests. Collect and report on testing results. Screen modules and boards as part of validation.Support lab shipping & receiving logistics and handle inventory of equipment and materials.Maintain a safe lab environment for lab users. Maintain and organize the lab equipment for efficiency and continuously look for ways to improve lab processes.As a Lab Lead, run all aspects of lab operations, and work with lab users to provide support and equipment. Be the first point of contact for lab support. Train lab team members to perform lab tasks.What We Need to See:Diploma/Certification, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (or equivalent experience)Min 8+ years of hands-on experience in an electronic or testing lab in the areas of silicon bringup, board-level design/validation, or system design/validation. Min 2+ years experience leading lab activities and directing work of other technicians.Fundamental knowledge of computing architectures and relevant hands-on hardware/software debug experience.Experience with Linux command line operation for testing systems and organizing test log files.Solid system-level debugging experience & familiarity with board bring-up and customer support.Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in electronic circuits, systems, and components using oscilloscope readings.Good attention to detail, as well as clear written and verbal communications.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience with BMC, server management processors.Experience with x86/ARM architectures and accelerated GPU computing.Proven knowledge of server, network troubleshooting and working in a data center.Competence to perform simple solder reworks, mechanical reworks involving power tools such as a Dremel.Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and understanding to follow a schematic. Expertise of oscilloscopes to set up, calibrate, and operate various oscilloscope models. Familiarity with different oscilloscope probing techniques and their applications.The base salary range is 62,400 USD - 138,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
