What you’ll do:
Write Material and Process specifications, test plans and work instructions, and generate detailed reports on test results
Lead material characterization, testing and material specification development
Coordinate panel and part builds with external suppliers and in house labs
Support low rate initial productions builds at part suppliers
Support material testing at internal and external labs
Support development of new materials and processes engineering lab at production facility
What you need:
10+ years of experience across a broad range of aerospace materials and processes
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field, M.S. preferred
Proven experience in material selection, material testing and qualification efforts, process specification reviews, and build support
Knowledge of standard test methods for composite and adhesive materials, including analyzing and interpreting results
Knowledge of standard test methods, material selection and treatments for metallic materials and components
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including written technical reports and oral presentations to technical and managerial audiences
Experience in solving problems related to M&P in a manufacturing operational setting
Ability to work collaboratively with other engineering groups to develop, qualify and implement manufacturing process specifications
Experience with analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances
Knowledge of FAA aircraft certification requirements for Part 23 aircraft
Deep understanding of a variety of manufacturing methods, including metallic and composite structures
Understanding of how to prevent galvanic corrosion with composite aircraft structures
Experience in thermoplastic manufacturing methods and testing is beneficial

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $122820 - $153,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
