Translate these between system-level and block-level circuit requirements.Design large analog blocks, systems or sub-systems using a combination of behavioral modeling tools and transistor level circuit design tools.The circuits to be developed include mixed-signal analog systems with ADCs, PGAs, DACs, filters, drivers, power management and low-jitter clocking circuits. Must be capable of implementing and optimizing circuit architectures and transistor-level circuit solutions to achieve a variety of challenging noise, distortion, power consumption and cost requirements.Make intelligent trade-offs amongst power, area, and performance. Provide innovative solutions to optimize circuits and systems for a variety of product requirements.Draw or oversee the drawing of the custom physical layout of these circuits.Perform thorough verification and extraction of these circuits.Define circuit board components to be used with these circuits.Define requirements for internal chip interfaces between the analog and digital circuits.Review and revise placement and floor-planning of analog blocks and interfaces with chip-leads and chip assembly teams.Review the chip package pinout / ballout and review and revise the chip package route with package layout engineers.Design and/or Review the PC test board schematics used for testing the IC performance.Characterize the performance of these ICs using lab equipment.Debug performance problems found during characterization of these analog circuits.Work with automatic test engineer (ATE) to develop production tests for these circuits.Debug and support field returns. Support application and software engineers to resolve all customer requirements and issues.Document the operation, performance and application requirements of these analog circuits.Document and communicate useful findings with circuit performance, process and CAD limitations.Guide & mentor junior analog engineers with all aspects of analog and mixed-signal circuit development, optimization and innovation.Guide & take responsibility for projects with teams of analog engineers, including the coordination of reviews of the analog design and layout.Participate with other key senior analog designer engineers to guide & take responsibility for the quality of team design reviews, patent submissions, and publications.Visit and meet with customers to determine circuit and system requirements.Present and communicate these requirements to systems engineering, marketing, and design teams.Bachelor's + 15+ years of related experience requiredAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $132,000 - $220,000 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
