System Technician

We are seeking a System Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team, which is tasked to maintain a world-class fully automated instrument system for high precision proteomic analysis. The candidate is expected to work in close collaboration with various teams and is responsible for maintaining and assisting all aspects of the system, including hardware, software, and consumables. Primary Responsibilities include : Perform component and sub-system function and life testing using prescribed fixtures and work instructions. Perform calibration of prototype instrument using prescribed fixtures and work instructions. Operate inspection equipment and generate engineering inspection reports. Collect test data and enter into database, as well as support analysis of data for engineering team to make decisions. Maintain calibration, maintenance, and repair records for laboratory equipment. Performing QC testing on existing and new products as needed. Improve technical procedures by participating in method development and validation of new systems and processes. Assist engineers to assemble, modify and maintain specialized test equipment. Assist engineers with creation and Help support and improve existing high throughput laboratory automation systems. Requirements include: A Technical associate degree is preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates required skills. Proven skills in testing and/or operation of electromechanical systems, including collection of test or operation data. A minimum of 1 years' experience as a technician Self-motivation with a positive “can do” attitude and attention to details Be able to lift 50 lbs. Be detailed oriented and able to follow detailed work instructions Have working knowledge of general test equipment, such as power supplies, digital multi-meters and precision mechanical measurement tools. Able to work with a minimum of supervision The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $90,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are  determined  by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and  maximum  target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
