Apple's Government Affairs team in India is responsible for helping develop policy and strategy on a range of issues, and manage Apple’s interactions with Indian policy makers, Central and State governments, think tanks, industry associations and other key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis. This position will report to the Head of Government Affairs in India and will have responsibility for supporting the implementation of public policy and advocacy plans and strategies in India. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 18+ years of professional work experience in a hands-on strategic policy, advocacy or a related role, in the ICT sector. Experience of dealing with and advising senior leadership in a Global / Multinational environment. Knowledge and experience of the workings of State governments and the Government of India and key institutions. Ability to comprehend and communicate policy and legislative priorities across multiple sectors and Ministries dealing with issues such as Manufacturing, Industrial Infrastructure & Logistics, Digital Payments, E-Commerce and Labour. Advising on policy matters in the manufacturing sector will be an asset. Existing relationships or demonstrated ability to build relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups. Experience and willingness to engage, build and drive initiatives at industry associations. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written capabilities, including presentation skills. Anticipate, analyse and translate complex policy and regulatory developments, into meaningful briefs for actionable use. Proven track record of handling crisis effectively. Simultaneous dealings with multiple and demanding stakeholders across time zones. Description Description Prepare advocacy strategies and implement by aligning business objectives with government’s policy priorities. Independently represent Apple’s position with government, policy makers and regulatory authorities at the senior most levels. Develop and maintain effective relationships with multiple Ministries and government authorities across middle and senior levels. Coordinate across multiple businesses and functions within the company to assimilate, analyze and communicate business priorities to external stakeholders. Provide strategic support and advice to company’s legal, regulatory, trade & environmental compliance functions. Undertake independent research or direct external research firms/consultants to produce meaningful reports and present actionable recommendations related to various policy developments linked to business priorities. Education & Experience Education & Experience University and a second / Master’s Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Legal Studies or a related field.
