Job Requisition ID #23WD74401Position OverviewThis is a unique opportunity to work in a research group at Autodesk. We are looking for a passionate research intern to join our diverse Human-Centered Building Design (HCBD) initiative.You will explore new ways to link human perception and responses to real and virtual built environments by analysing data for meaningful patterns. The work may include data collection and processing, designing of real and virtual environments, design and implementation of new research methodologies, data visualizations, and statistical analysis/machine learning. You will be based in our Toronto office.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to design and run experiments in virtual and physical spacesCollect biometric, perceptual, and other qualitative data during experimentsVisualise the generated data sets in their architectural contextFind patterns and connections between quantitative measurements of the built environment and experimental subject reactions/perceptionsWrite documentation of the work carried out, either as part of an academic paper or for internal communicationMinimum QualificationsPursuing a degree in Neuroscience or Cognitive Science with relevant Computer Science and AI experienceInterest in architecture and the built-environment and its effects on human beingsPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with EEG/EKG or fNIRS hardware setups or bothVR/AR/XR hardware setupsData visualization and science communicationAbout AutodeskAutodesk is changing how the world is designed and made.
