Data Scientist (12 months contract)Description -The TeamWe are an expanding team that helps HP use AI/ML technology, including both traditional ML methods (forecasting algorithms, recommender systems) and Generative AI and large language models. We work with business units mainly from the Commercial Organization to develop and run solutions for internal use.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates ability to pick a ML technique that best suits the business problem.Defines and implements models to uncover patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation.Works with Data Science leaders to develop new innovative solutions to existing or new business challenges.Develops clear presentations for business stakeholders and managers.Manages relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data driven innovation, provide domain-specific expertise in cross-organization projects/initiatives.Requirements:Typically, 2-4 years of relevant work experienceBachelor's, master's or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.Experience using statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages to solve business problems.Experience with NLP, Large Language Models, LLM prompt engineering, vector databases, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and search engines.Ability to define and create complex models to pull valuable insights, predictions, and innovation from data.Ability to effectively communicate data insights and negotiate options at senior management levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Python.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English. Contract12 month contract.
