Clarivate is seeking to hire a Product Sales Manager to join our team! As a Product Sales Manager you will drive sales activity for assigned product lines such as Historical Newspapers, History Vault, and Historical Periodicals as well as Primary Source subscription products within an assigned territory in the United States. In collaboration with Account Managers, you will have the exciting role of product sales manager, articulating the value proposition whether as a single product sale or as part of a large portfolio. If this sounds like an opportunity you are interested in, then we would love to talk to you!About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments…Bachelor's degree in related field; OR equivalent work experience5 years of experience leading demonstrations, trainings, and presentations5 years of experience articulating value propositions for specialty product(s) and responding to inquiries about product functionality5 years of proven track record of successful technology and/or online content salesIt would be great if you also had…Ability to develop a deep understanding of specialty product(s).High level of enthusiasm, with strong influencing and negotiation skills.Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data.Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.Capacity to learn and effectively utilize Salesforce and other programs relevant to the role.Advanced degree in Library Science or related fieldA proven track record of successful technology and/or online content sales.Strong ability to collect and manipulate data to identify new opportunities and increase sales.Experience with internal sales and forecasting tools to track leads and close ratio.Previous experience working in a matrix sales environment.Previous experience selling in the academic library community.What will you be doing in this role?...Focus on new business, uncovering opportunities, creating target lists, prospects, and participating in territory planning while engaging the Account Manager as appropriate.Serve as the subject matter expert on specialty products, articulating the value proposition whether as a single product sale or as part of a larger portfolio.Qualify top opportunities based upon key initiatives and product roadmap driven from sales leadership for the product sales team; coordinates with Account Manager on plans to be incorporated into overall territory and specific account plans.Leverage unique relationships with influencers and decision makers to support lead generation and sales activity.Lead specialty product forecasting in collaboration with Account Manager.Coordinate with Account Manager to determine best team player to engage client in new opportunity; considers account history, existing relationships, and other factors.Typically takes the lead in scheduling meetings with subject selectors/liaisons as well as collection development librarians or coordinators.Leads individual and group product demonstrations.Maintain pricing ownership with direction from sales director and pricing team.Enter leads and new activity into SalesForce.com for specialty productsHours of WorkFull time, permanentAlthough duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be requiredUp to 50% travel is requiredClarivate is an Equal Opportunity Employer Vets/Minorities/Women/Disabled
