The Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team provides the underlying technology that powers Apple’s business. Our work is tied to both the Apple internal business teams as well as external facing customer services.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated, talented IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join the team in Korea. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ years of IT Infrastructure Project Management experience. 2+ years of Building/Construction/Facilities related networking projects (i.e. structured cabling, network room or data centre builds, networking hardware deployments and upgrades). Practical experience using formal Project Management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK, Prince2, Agile, Scrum) and computer-based project management tools (e.g. Wrike). Proficiency in defining project scope, establishing timelines, and handling dependencies within a sophisticated organizational structure. Dedicated, highly motivated, innovative and have a proven track record of managing concurrent projects. General understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts (i.e. TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and switching, Network/Server rooms, Network Cabling, Telecom Provisioning, Voice and Video services). Korean (TOPIK Level 5 or above) and proficient in English (Test scores are a good guide but it’s your willingness and ability to work in a multilingual, multicultural environment that’s most important!). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Description Description Based in Seoul, you will primarily manage Infrastructure projects for Korea and Japan, as well as contribute to the broader APAC regional Project Management function. You will work with technical engineering teams, business users, facilities and data centre teams to project manage the deployment of new infrastructure as well as coordinate and report on the ongoing life-cycle management of our existing systems. The successful Infrastructure Project Manager will:
・Lead multiple infrastructure projects including new buildings or facilities, office expansions, new technology deployments, equipment upgrades and improvements.
・Create and maintain project plans, prepare communication plans and related project updates and status reports.
・Coordinate with project partners from various teams, including; IS&T, Real Estate, Facilities, Global Security, Finance, and external vendors and partners.
・Schedule and arrange onsite work for cabling vendors, networking vendors and service providers.
・Communicate and schedule changes with users and technical teams.
・Maintain Risks & Issues logs and develop mitigation strategies through interaction with project constituents and collaborators.
・Identify resources needed and assign and track individual responsibilities.
・Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
・Effectively facilitate regularly-scheduled project meetings.
・When required; act as the onsite ‘hands’ for regional Network engineers and other IS&T engineering teams that are based overseas.
・Act as a point of contact in Korea for onsite support of incidents, including coordination with external vendors for device replacement (RMA).
・Coordinate ongoing infrastructure Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC), including post change validation testing.
・Maintain relationships with the onsite Business, Facilities and Security teams.
・You should be able to work as part of a diverse, geographically dispersed team with cultural, language, and time zone differences and enjoy working in a fast paced, leading-edge technology environment. Overseas travel may be required in countries where IS&T is present. Education & Experience Education & Experience ・Relevant bachelors degree preferred or 5+ years industry experience in lieu of degree.
