Summary Posted: Dec 21, 2023 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200529071 The Device Services Engineering team is looking for an exceptional engineer to join a dynamic team that builds large-scale tools, automation solutions, web applications and data analytics. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Have an automation mindset and always think of solutions to increase productivity Experienced in triage and identifying root causes for issues with dependent systems Proficiency in ansible or other configuration management Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages Experience working in an Agile development process Strong debugging, critical thinking, and collaborative skills with the ability to learn new technologies Description Description As a Device Services Engineering team member, you will build tools and automation solutions for partner teams, such as Device Services Infrastructure, to increase productivity and reduce human errors and manual steps in their processes, allowing Device Services to scale up. Successful candidates will have strong engineering skills and a mindset for automation and data-driven solutions. We work closely with cross-functional partners as a team, so candidates should also show strong communication and collaboration skills. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements These are not rigid requirements, but this position might be of interest if you have experience with or a desire to learn about: - Data Analytics - Cloud technology such as Kubernetes - Real-time processing technology like Kafka - Apple products and operating systems - Observability, monitoring and alerting - Experience with Operating Systems like macOS, and Linux is a plus - Interested in leadership responsibilities Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
