Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Pursuing a MS or PhD or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Science or in relevant field. Description Description - Intern will play a critical role in the overall success of the Apple team. Acting as a SME Intern in assigned projects/ tasks, responsible to work with Apple cross-functional teams, contractor manufacturers and suppliers to drive different aspects of manufacturing process.
- Participate on a team tasked with developing and implementing processes that create cosmetic and protective finishes for Apple’s extraordinary enclosure designs.
- Investigate new materials and manufacturing methods used to coat a variety of surfaces.
- Engage coatings suppliers and applicators to lead investigations and identify improvements in manufacturing process.
- Provide problem solving support, organize and prioritize investigations, and drive coating process implementation.
- Understand reliability testing requirements and implement plans to meet specifications.
