Job Requisition ID #23WD74001Position OverviewThe Simulation, Optimization and Systems (SOS) Group at Autodesk Research is looking for a passionate and experienced research intern for Winter 2024 at our Toronto office located in the MaRS Discovery District. The position will involve developing a new prototype software library that will take advantage of the state-of-the-art physics solvers that we have developed and through APIs enable new Generative Design workflows and connections to optimization frameworks.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with a multi-disciplinary team of research scientists and engineersDevelop efficient C++ library code and APIsDocument the library internally and write wiki progress updatesDevelop a set of tests, benchmarks and profiling for the libraryUse CMake, our CICD framework and versioning systemMinimum RequirementsPursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fieldSome professional experience working with C++ codebasesStrong C++ coding skills (std, templates)Experience with physics simulation codeExperience with computer graphics, meshing and 3D visualizationBonus: Experience with GPU coding (e.g. CUDA)About the Canada Intern ProgramThe 2024 Canada program runs for 16 weeks (Jan 8th to April 26th for Winter Term and May 6th to August 23rd for Summer Term).
