Job Requisition ID #23WD73752Position OverviewAutodesk Research is looking for an intern to join our amazing team researching how operational data from current and future products can be used by designers to improve future products. This internship is based in the Autodesk San Francisco Technology Center to work closely with technologist, manufacturing experts, and designers to design physical research platforms with the intent to test and advance the research the team is engaged in. This internship will report the Strategic Program Manager.ResponsibilitiesContribute to a team of Research Engineers in the design and making of a vehicular platform for use in capturing operational use data.Contribute to research teams' knowledge and insights to interpret the operational use data and apply it to future designs.Utilize the San Francisco Technology Center to manufacture, maintain, and operate vehicular platforms.Minimum QualificationsPursuing a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or relatedInvolvement in group projects including both the Design and Make cycle of prototypingInvolvement in First Robotics Competitions or other design/make competitionsInterest in mechanical design and simulationInitiated and managed projects on your ownAbout the US Intern Program The 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development.
