Job Requisition ID #23WD74433*posting for administrative purposes only*Position Overview Autodesk is looking for a contract Content Designer to create helpful and engaging technical documentation for creative professionals who use our products like ShotGrid, Maya and MotionBuilder. Join an experienced team of content creators and designers who work every day to make our 3D content creation and production tracking tools easier to learn and use. We’re looking for a motivated, flexible, and creative individual who has a passion for M&E, a knack for organizing and communicating technical information, and exceptional collaboration skills. In this position, you’ll be working closely with the Content Design team to create and publish online learning content that is instrumental in helping our users understand and use our products to achieve their creative goals.ResponsibilitiesWork collaboratively with other designers to understand product features and workflowsDevelop effective onboarding, instructional, and troubleshooting content that supports our users as they adopt product updatesCreate high quality content in a variety of formats that is suitable for both new and experienced users, including illustrations and videoUse data and analytics where available to identify ways to improve content based on customer feedbackAlign with other content authors following established best practices, and consistently maintaining appropriate style, voice & tone guidelines Conduct technical reviews of content deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, and to improve usability. Minimum QualificationsExceptional written and oral communication skills, with experience as a professional writer, communicator, or educatorProven ability to research and understand complex and technical subjects, and present them to others in a clear, approachable mannerAbility to create content in a variety of formats including text, illustrations, and videoAbility to balance multiple projects and deadlines, keeping your own work organized and coordinating effectively with stakeholdersExpertise with authoring and/or visual editing tools, such as XMetal, Camtasia, Illustrator, and PhotoshopPreferred QualificationsExperience with 3D content creation and production management tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, MotionBuilder, and ShotGridRelevant knowledge or experience in a production environment, or in 3D modeling, animation, or riggingAbility to work well with a team, including an aptitude for giving and receiving constructive feedbackLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
