The ideal candidate is a self-starter, great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Manage payrolls for EMEA using a third-party processor; ensure on-time payment to employees and statutory agenciesOversee flow of information from Workday system to third-party; work with stakeholders to resolve any process or data issuesMonitor and implement statutory updates for regulations relating to time tracking, leave and absence, and payroll relating to countries you manageHandle M&A relating to EMEA payrolls; ensure proper assumption / migration of wages, taxes, and respective benefit plans as they relate to payrollManage payroll resources within the team to ensure cross-functional projects are staffed and delivered on-time and successfullyMaintain strong relationships with various key stakeholders related to the payroll processIdentify and implement process improvements within your teams to ensure manual processes are limitedMonitor metrics and identify methods for improvement year over yearOwn SOX controls for your department; conduct self-audits within team to ensure complianceCreate and maintain a structure and vision for the team to optimize results and plan for future needs of the teamEstablish and maintain a culture of customer service to support Workday’s employee friendly mindsetEffectively resolve escalations of various issues encountered by team or reported by employeesMentor and provide career counseling and growth opportunities for team#LI-MC3About YouBasic Qualifications10+ years of increasing experience in a high growth or public company, at least +2 years in a team lead / manager function in international payrollBachelor’s degreeOther QualificationsStrong knowledge of payroll principles, tax regulations, and labor laws in various countries.Prior experience in managing payroll for employees across multiple countries is highly desirable. Experience with different payroll systems and understanding of diverse payroll practices is valuable.Strong analytic and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.Considerable experience effectively leading projectsDetail oriented, accurate and organizedAbility to prioritize and work with a sense of urgencyExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to interface with all levels of managementShows initiative, flexibility, and follow-throughCustomer service focused, and solution orientedAbility to work cross-culturally with internal and external partners in other countriesProficient knowledge of accounting, HCM and payroll systemsStrong computer skills, including Excel and other Microsoft OfficeOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
