The team is based in the Dublin Finance Shared service centre which employs over 75 different nationalities.About the RoleThe Senior Accountant/Team Lead will be primarily focused on the annual financial close process, preparation and review of statutory accounts and other compliance obligations. You will be required to work on various accounting projects and supplementary works as part of the continuous improvement of the statutory compliance process and demonstrate leadership traits as part of the team.ResponsibilitiesManagement of our Financial Controllership Model (FCM) across all International entities.Ensure visibility across the Workday organisation of the Controllership model supporting it as a “Go To” across the business.Automation of certain workflows which form part of the FCM.Workiva Optimisation as part of our compliance roadmap for a seamless filing process.Project Lead on compliance related projects, with an ability to manage deliverables, communicate outcomes and have overall oversight.Represent the International Accounting team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop & continually improve processes & systems for both financial and statutory reporting.Drive the team strategically to achieve company wide goals.Support and automation of complex technical accounting areas Participation in technical accounting projects as they come on stream.Onboarding of a new vendor and support of the coordination across all international entities.Team lead responsibilities including the review and approval of annual statutory trial balances and financial statements for several international entities in line with internal work processes.Manage finance team members and monitor performance of direct reports in line with the Workday career guidance framework.About YouThe ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-paced Shared Services Centre environment.Basic QualificationsQualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA 8+ years Post-qualified education or equivalentKey CompetenciesDemonstration of key leadership competencies, aligned with the Workday culture and core values.Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel with minimal supervisionMotivational leadership and Workday culture maintenance are essential competencies.Experienced workmate who can make tactical decision to help solve complex and strategic problemsAbility to deliver with high productivity and use focused time to work effectively.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to conduct accounting research and summarize results accurately and independently.Detail oriented with high degree of accuracy.Ability to successfully meet tight deadlines.Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems.Proven experience in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.Ability to work independently, a self-starter with minimal direction and guidance neededShared Service Centre experience, preferably in a complex global accounting environmentProficient and comfortable with technical accounting and interpretation across US GAAP, IFRS and global reportingThey will work as part of a cohesive team of global finance professionals and will need to be able to support the achievement of the team's goals while managing individual responsibilitiesExcellent planning and organisational skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritize work schedules and work within agreed timescales.Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment.Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on a high-level overview.Demonstrates statutory accounting background and qualificationsFast learner, picking up a new environment and relationship, 'can do' attitude & hands-on approachFlexibility to work across different time zones when requiredOur Approach to Flexible Work With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
