Your potential is waiting; why are you?Genesys is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Physical Security ideally based in Raleigh, NC.  Genesys supports over 50 locations around the world.  The Senior Manager of Global Physical Security will be vital to the success and development of employee safety and lead the effort to protect our people and offices in a remote-first work environment.The Senior Manager of Global Physical Security role will be the primary point of contact for all office physical security-related matters.  The ideal candidate will be an expert in corporate physical security, workplace violence program development, risk mitigation, and security system implementation.  This is the primary role for planning, budgeting, and implementing physical security policies and programs.  This role will support activities and issues where approach and problems are not explicitly defined but they must determine the best solution based on company and leadership goals and expectations. This role will be based on-site in the Raleigh/Durham, NC office. Successful candidates will be passionate about owning this function, setting the stage for a safe workplace experience.Responsibilities:Corporate SecurityMaster level knowledge and skills within Corporate Physical Security practicesThe position will oversee all aspects of our security operations, ensuring safety for our employees, assets, and global officesImplement robust security strategies and protocolsAbility to design and implement physical security strategiesEffectively protect against threats to our people and assetsLead in the development of a risk based physical security program across the global businessDevelop and implement VIP protection guidelinesDevelop and provide best practices for Genesys employees while travelingThis position will work directly with internal and external stakeholders.  Able to listen and understand their requests and then address them in a proactive and consultative mannerTroubleshooting and solving challenging problems will be a big part of this role Provide safety and security resources for employees traveling around the world.  Ensure that Genesys is meeting Duty of Care responsibilitiesIdentify and assess the most critical threats to Genesys employeesDevelop, implement, train, and oversee a core team of security professionals to respond to physical security and similar crisis incidents impacting the companyEnable the business by ensuring appropriate security risk mitigations are integrated into enterprise business strategies and operationsCreating and overseeing life safety programs as related to physical securityWork with an internal team to develop and implement Workplace violence prevention measuresTroubleshooting and solving challenging problems will be a big part of this roleDeliver work to a high standard and be a great problem solver and champion Genesys core valuesThe pace at Genesys is exciting and fast and candidate will need good at prioritizing and time managementWilling and able to accommodate different time zones as needed to address Genesys global office footprintWilling to take on different roles and responsibilities that may be requestedSecurity SystemsPrior experience implementing new security systems at an enterprise levelOversee day to day security operations.  Access Control, Video Management, and Alarm systems.  Standardize on a global badge process for issue, maintain, and deactivate cardsDevelop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security strategies and policies to ensure the safety of our employees, assets, and officesIdentifies appropriate physical security technologies and drives investment plans to helpGenesys protect against threatsOversee day to day security operations.  Access Control, Video Management, and Alarm systems.  Standardize and improve global credential process to issue, maintain, and deactivate credentialsAudits, Compliance, and Program DevelopmentEnsure compliance with ISO, HDS, and SOC 2 and able to respond in writing to documentation as requiredOwn physical security policy, process, and standards development and implementation, ensuring Genesys adheres to legal and regulatory obligations and adopts good practices where applicableSubject matter expert on physical security standards, technical specifications, and security performance requirementsDevelopment of physical security site surveys, vulnerability assessments, operational policies, and KPI’sImplement security policies, standards, and risk mitigationGeneral ResponsibilitiesBroad experience managing operational and capital budgets as related to physical security systems and outsourced labor contractsAbility to track and process invoices in accordance with the approved budgetBudget tracking and forecasting periodically throughout the fiscal yearAbility to use Spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint, and email to effectively communicate options, value, and recommendations to finance, accounting, legal and othersBroad understanding and experience managing projectsConsults with management on office design guidelines; identify capex budget requirements as improvements are warrantedCreate planning schedules including targets and milestones, manage workflow and adhere to deadlines and budgets with ability to recognize and communicate when time and financial adjustments are requiredQualifications:Strong management ability, excellent self-control and judgment, and clear communication of directionsMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related fieldTen (10) plus years of corporate safety and security experience required. Experience managing global safety and security policies, standards, programs, and proceduresAdditional credentials and relevant certifications preferred. Certified Protection Professional (CPP), PMP certificationsProject management capabilities including planning, budgeting, contracts, minor construction oversight, reporting, compliance, and commissioningHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including excel, word, and PowerPoint including ability to create and document budgets and project plansAbility to publicly represent company with internal and external stakeholdersBuilds relationships and true partnerships with business partners by understanding and empathyService-oriented with strong focus on relationship development.Must be able to travel domestic/international as needed; estimated to not be greater than 25% of timeDetailed oriented with strong planning, organization, and ability to work and make decisions independentlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lead and direct outside vendors with professionalism; experience in working with outside contractorsDiscretion with sensitive materials and proven experience handling confidential informationThis job requires frequent walking, prolonged sitting at a computer, standing, use of hands and ability to lift to 30 lbs. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
