Our subscription base is the foundation of our business, and this role is an exciting opportunity to utilise your life science sales experience to play a critical role in driving growth in this area.  The role will report into the Regional Subscriptions Manager and will involve directly developing and closing your own book of business as well as strong collaboration with account managers (AMs) and product teams to deliver on total subscription targets for the assigned territory.As part of the Life Science & Healthcare sales team responsible for the Clarivate subscription business, experience of selling to Drug Discovery and Development and a strong understanding of the Pharma landscape is essential.This position is hybrid with 2-3 days on site located at any of our US officesAbout You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   Minimum of 3 years direct sales experience in the life science industryPrior experience of subscription new business sales and renewal management is essentialAdditional traits being sought:A self-starter who is not afraid of taking initiative and managing an account through the renewal cyclePersistent and motivated to overachieve against a targetGreat organization and time management skillsGeneral knowledge and understanding of utilizing SFDCThe ability to work well within a team environmentDemonstrated track record of exceeding sales targetsDemonstrated ability to understand customer workflows and priorities and translate these into opportunitiesExcellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and time management skillsWhat will you be doing in this role?   Meet and exceed personal sales targetDirectly negotiate and close most renewals in the territory and partner with AMs to ensure closure of our largest contractsDirectly negotiate and secure required price increase on renewals Grow new business subscriptions through identifying and managing up-sell and cross-sell opportunity at point of renewalSuccessful completion of continuous enablement programme to meet requirements of roleManage renewal process and total subscription opportunities in CRMProvide accurate weekly forecasts for territory total subscription businessBuild strong relationships with territory AMs and Product teamAbout the Team     This is a dynamic team with members who approach our work with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and skill.  Clarivate’s present growth provides for a variety of opportunities for personal achievement and career advancement in a fast paced and flexible hybrid environment.   Hours of Work   Core business hours in your time zone with the flexibility to support global clients in other time zones as needed.
