Job Requisition ID #23WD74141Position OverviewAs a Generative Modeling Intern, you will be in the Autodesk robotics research lab at Pier 9 in San Francisco, CA. You'll work with other interns and researchers on advancing the state-of-the-art in adaptive robotic assembly of challenging multi-step, multi-arm manufacturing tasks. The goal will be to develop a generative model to handle noisy signal data from multiple RGBD depth sensors to infer robotic manipulation actions for various assembly insertion tasks involving articulated parts.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a data generation pipeline for training robotic manipulation/assembly of articulated parts.Develop a model to infer from simulated RGDB observations robot actions to pick, regrasp, and cooperate with multiple grippers to complete challenging assembly tasks.Develop sim-to-real strategies to deploy the model on an actual robotic assembly workcell.Minimum QualificationsPhD candidate focused on AI, ML, and robotics.Experience researching robotic manipulation tasks involving shiny metallic or semi-transparent or articulated parts.About the US Intern ProgramThe 2024 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 20 – August 9 or June 17 – September 6).
