We bridge teams and drive cross-functional collaboration to surpass what any individual team might achieve on their own, expanding the possibilities of what we can build as a company. In this role, you will support our Xcode, programming languages, debugger, and GPU compiler teams to deliver tools used to develop and debug iOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS apps. You will be responsible for project planning, tracking, execution, and reporting, as well cross-functional alignment. You will oversee schedules, integration efforts, bug targets, qualification of tools supporting the latest hardware, Xcode functionality, and usability improvements. You will proactively identify, prioritize, and drive issues to resolution by communicating top issues, risks, and critical achievements to executive leadership. We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual with great technical curiosity and genuine passion who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills, a mastery of task management, and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. Ideally, the candidate will have experience using Xcode and can help provide perspective on how to continue improving the product. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Prior experience in program or project management in software development Knowledge of software engineering standard methodologies and related dependencies Familiarity with compiler technologies, integrated development environments, and other developer-focused tools Comfort with the UNIX shell and ability to automate tasks using a scripting language such as Python or Perl Strong leadership skills including the ability to build positive relationships and influence others Excellent spoken and written communication to tailor communication style to multiple audiences Organization and time management skills with phenomenal attention to detail Description Description As a Developer Tools Component EPM, your responsibilities include: - Creating and maintaining detailed project plans, schedule, and status documentation - Serving as a liaison to communicate changes in plans, top issues, risks, and other pertinent information, including presenting project health and progress to executive leadership - Coordinating with cross-functional stakeholder groups to problem-solve and unblock engineering teams - Driving projects to completion, proactively tracking and prioritizing tasks across multiple product releases - Automating repetitive tasks and driving process improvements across engineering teams - Operating internal tools and bug tracking software to make quantitative assessments on project progress and update plans as needed Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with software engineering and project management Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Desired, but not required, skills and experience: - Experience developing iOS, macOS, watchOS, or tvOS apps - Software or hardware release experience, managing sophisticated, cross-functional projects - Usage of source control systems such as git - Proficiency of Slack with experience optimizing workflows for effective communication Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
