Location: Fabrinet, Chonburi, Thailand Job descriptionIn this highly visible role, candidate will have opportunity to make significant impact on Infinera manufacturing and quality standards by effectively coordinating and driving all the key activities at contract manufacturer site.Key responsibilities are:As an assembly & manufacturing process liaison between CM and Infinera engineering teamReview and assess supplier processes through weekly engineering meetingsIdentify quality issues and drive CM for improvement via 8D report. Validate the improvement at CM site prior to report closureGenerate and maintain weekly/monthly documentation and reports for CM’s key indicators and drive for KPI improvement activitiesProvide technical guidance and assistance to CM’s by coordinating with other key engineering team membersLead the communication between CM and cross functional team or managementInvolve and assist on supply chain discussion, planning and materials.Support CM NPI builds & assembly issues from various design centers globallyReview and resolve DFM issues between CM and Infinera. Will require traveling to various CM sites when needed.Education & ExperienceBS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electric & Electronic Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalentMinimum 5+ years’ experience in Optics assembly, Electronic Manufacturing and Quality ControlKey QualificationsExcellent oral and written communication in English.Basic knowledge in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and PCBA manufacturing processes. Candidate also required to be familiar with PCBA structural test like Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray (5DX) and In-circuit test (ICT)Basic knowledge in PCBA and module Functional Test.Knowledge in optical assembly processes will be an advantageExperienced and able to coordinate and communicate effectively between cross functional team and Contract Manufacturer (CM)Experience developing process quality plans, supplier quality audits, and driving corrective actions and failure analysis effortsProject management experience and a deep understanding of problem solving tools including design of experiment, root cause analysis and statistical analytical toolsExperience with the following: mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs and fixtures will be an advantageExperience working in New Product Introduction and be able to work with cross-functional team. Coordinate and drive contract manufacturers to meet build schedule, shipment schedule and quality standardsAble to drive continuous improvements on manufacturing processes, quality and cost.
