Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:
Plan and execute cell characterization experiments and test plans
Analyze cell electrochemical data to track and quantify cell degradation under different use cases and environmental conditions
Identify anode/cathode contributions to degradation using methods such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, dQ/dV and dV/dQ
Develop, document, and communicate analytical procedures to standardize data analysis
Develop and release data analysis toolboxes
Generalize learnings and tools across cell models and form factors
What you need:
Current standing junior, senior, or graduate student at accredited college or university in an engineering discipline
Ability to learn and adapt within an ambiguous environment
Strong organization and project management skills
Eager to learn, positive attitude and highly motivated
Programming experience in Python or MATLAB
Strong communication skills
Bonus Qualifications:
Understanding of electric machinery whether automotive or aerospace, eVTOL is a plus
Knowledge of Google suite applications
Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket version control
Battery/EV/eVTOL knowledge or experience
Understanding of cell chemistry/degradation
Additional Details:
Program duration will be approximately March - August 2024
Must be able to work a full time schedule (approximately 40 hours per week) at our office location
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
