As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite network that enables connectivity to iPhone when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS via satellite to access emergency assistance when they are in need of help and have no other means to communicate. You will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape this and other critical services, to the benefit and safety of millions of Apple device users. The team is looking for a senior FPGA engineer to lead complex FPGA designs including DSP algorithms, software radios, and multigigabit interfaces. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Expertise in SystemVerilog or Verilog Expertise in FPGA development tools (preferably Xilinx) Experience in digital signal processing, software radios, or digital beamforming Experience implementing multigigabit FPGA interfaces (Aurora, JESD204B/C, Gigabit Ethernet, etc.) Experience in fault tolerant FPGA designs Familiarity with embedded linux and C/C++ on integrated ARM + Programmable Logic (ex: Xilinx Zynq, Versal) Familiarity with latest industry standards and best practices for code quality and maintainability Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Description Description - Define FPGA requirements and architecture from hardware and system requirements - Design and implement RTL for signal processing pipelines, multigigabit interfaces, software radios, and control logic. - Establish verification and testbench standards - Evaluate and integrate off the shelf FPGA IP - Collaborate with hardware team on system design and test Education & Experience Education & Experience 5+ years experience in software engineering roles Minimum BS Electrical Engineering or similar degree Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
