Apple AIML is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operations to lead and support our Machine Learning Platform Technologies (MLPT) division in all aspects of business operations and communications. MLPT enables Apple’s innovative products that integrate hardware with intelligent software experiences by merging groundbreaking ML technologies, large-scale compute, and global data systems available to engineers within Apple. As Head of Operations, you will partner closely with AIML leadership to bring the next generation of ML applications to billions of devices. Description Description As a key member of our Strategy & Operations team, you will be integral to our mission of ensuring continuous improvement within the MLPT organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product management, design, recruiting, security, finance, business planning, and more to optimize business operations and communications crucial to Apple’s ML-driven products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and business aspects, with a solid track record of running sophisticated operations and fostering positive team dynamics. Given the high exposure to a sizable team and a large number of collaborators, the role requires you to bring outstanding relationship management, communication, program creation/management, and multi-functional coordination skills. Your ability to effectively use data to support arguments and facilitate business decisions will be a strong asset in this position, where high-stakes decisions often have to be made with incomplete information and without prior precedents. Your integrity and reliability will be key to building the trusted relationships necessary to create impact on an org-wide level. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
