NVIDIA is hiring a distinguished engineer to lead the architecture of Deep Learning tools used internationally to craft, develop, and deploy AI applications. This position will embed you in an ambitious and diverse team that influences all areas of NVIDIA's AI platform as well as contributes to all premiere Deep Learning Frameworks. Our goal is to deliver a seamless AI user experience that provides efficient execution of critical AI workloads at supercomputing scales. This role provides the opportunity to learn NVIDIA’s most sophisticated parallel programming techniques enabling you to build frameworks to automatically apply these techniques to customer's business-critical workloads. Come join us to work at the forefront of the most important systems engineering challenge in AI!What you will be doing:Invent, design, and build advanced tooling for building AI applications.Play a meaningful role in multi-functional and cross-organizational software efforts to improve NVIDIA's AI strategy.Collaborate with external AI framework partners.Work with internal and external applied researchers to improve their AI tools and applications.Support Solution Architects and Dev Tech Engineers to provide our customers with a best-in-class AI experience.What we need to see:MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).18+ years of experience in a related fieldSuccessful work in all engineering aspects of building and maintaining AI frameworks.Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated software features in PyTorch, JAX, or another popular Deep Learning FrameworkDemonstrated technical leadership of projects that span large engineering teams.Ways to stand out from the crowd:Experience with parallel programming of large-scale GPU architectures.Recognized leadership in the Deep Learning open-source community.Proficiency in collaborations spanning organizational boundaries.Passion for cultivating technical excellence and engineering efficiency in those around you.The base salary range is 304,000 USD - 460,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
